Hard times of 2010... Lets burn candles instead of flicking strobe lights to get in the mood. Where we scrounge through sale racks instead of the little doors on that other end of oxford st. This merry period I have spent my last penny and am now on the verge of going naked. I have come to realize... who needs dolla billz... to look a billion bucks?

Love Generation

So. This summer, we at SP headquarters digging things like:
Lily Aldridge's ombre locks, Pink, pink pants, wearing pants, taking off of pants, and pretty things that smell nice, like boys.

Oh... and shopping

On location!

It was time for photoshoot #3! And this time, we went on location!

The shots took place at the Sydney College of Arts in Rozelle, which had beautiful lawns and old enchanting buildings, which was so amazing when juxtaposed to all the modern art and photography pieces and equipment displayed around the school.

Even cooler is the fact that this place used to be a mental asylum…(!!) I guess the rooms with no windows made perfect photography dark rooms, but even with the whole crew there, the long dark corridors still sent chills down my spine (yes I may have ran back from the vending machine cos I freaked myself out with my imagination!)

Anyway, back to the point…

So we had the beautiful former Miss World contestant Elizabeth Soulos as our muse in this session. We gave her a empowered 14th century goddess look and dressed Liz in the burnt orange swing maxi – she looked amazing – check out the behind the scenes photos for yourself!

We also got a few amazing studio photos as well – we got a bit cheeky and playful – you’ll have to wait to see it once we upload it to our online store ;)

What an amazing day it was, topped off by a team dinner at Ma.Ba.Sa. – amazing little Korean fusion restaurant down the street in Balmain.

A Sunday in Arabia

So I must say the event was a smashing success!

We spent all day rushing around, with make-up by Michael Halder and co, hair by Christopher Hanna and a team of wonderful helpers.

Guests arrived to music of the jazz band whilst cocktails and canapés were flowing. The decadent Water Blue in Blue Hotel Woolloomooloo was decorated by models with sky high legs draped in gorgeous chiffon tapestry to create the exotic Arabian feel.
Show Pony rocked the runway show alongside four other impressive labels – classically beautiful and unique Elise Design, edgy yet feminine Samantha Chan, free-spirited Kartini and sexy and chic Maria de Guzman.

The runway shows were intertwined with entertainment to create a truly unique experience for the guests. Opened by intriguing and sensual Lauren La Rouge with a far East inspired burlesque show; followed by Hilary Cinis with unimaginable belly dancing moves and rhythm; singer songwriter Charmaine then brought some funk as she sang alongside Show Pony’s runway; the crowd then rocked out live band Must Just Shoot, followed by a jaw-dropping routine by belly dancer Jessica Moreno and closed with the amazing vocals of Ann-Maree.

The beautiful crowd dressed up in bright and bold colours and shimmering jewels. What a truly amazing event!

Soft launch

So we've done a soft launch of the online store with some of the images from the photoshoot, there's some really amazing products there, so hopefully there's a good response from everyone!! *fingers crossed*

Photoshoot!

So we had two amazing photoshoot sessions with Only Models Management on Thursday and Saturday for our online store. Our three models, Annabel, Laura and Jessica were amazing - it was great to see our collection on some gorgeous girls instead of the headless mannequins in our showroom haha

I've worked with professional photographers at our events before, and have had some studio shots done for PR, but this was the first shoot that we've styled, organised and managed!! It was just so much fun!!
